The changes that have taken place in the PC market over the last 10-15 years have been immense. In my opinion the rise of over-clockers, gamers and ultra geeks has had a big impact on this… as the modders and geeks got into positions of power, their demands for greater power and functionality pushed forward the PC market into what it is today.
Perhaps in years to come Apple may follow this type of progression with the iPhone…
